Motion Dance Co.

Motion Youth Dance Company (MDC) encourages students to develop their dancing past the recreational level and become more technical dancers and performers. MDC is a performance & experience-based dance company and was created with the vision to develop children, youth and teens physically, mentally and technically as dancers, but also gain valuable life experiences through performances, training and travel, which in turn develops friendships and a dance family that will last a lifetime!

  • MDC BALLET

    Convertible Ballet Pink Tights

    • Please purchase from a dance store or be sure they are actually ballet pink. Thank you!

    Ballet Leotard

    • Colour and style can be unique to your dancer.

    Ballet Shoe

    • PROPEL, MOMENTUM & ACCELERATE: Leather, Full Sole

    • VELOCITY & KINETIC: Canvas Split Sole ballet shoes

    Hair

    • Ballet Bun, french braid or LOW secured ponytail with wisps and bangs out of the eyes

    FYI: high ponytails make turning and training a dancer “spot” very challenging

    MDC JAZZ & CHOREO

    Please be sure attire is form-fitted so we can see proper alignment (no baggy clothing).

    • Leotard or Fitted Top

    • Tights, Shorts or Leggings

    Dancers will be in bare feet for a portion of these classes. If wearing tights, ensure they are convertible or footless

    Shoes

    • PROPEL & MOMENTUM: Beige Leather Jazz Shoe

    • ACCELERATE, VELOCITY & KINETIC: Beige Half Sole (fully covers toes with elastic around the back of the heel/ankle. Ex. Capezio Turning Pointe or Block Eclipse)

    Hair

    • Ballet Bun, french braid or LOW secured ponytail with wisps and bangs out of the eyes.

    MDC HIP HOP

    • Easy to move in Athletic Clothing

    • Clean indoor Runners/Sneakers

    • White sneakers may be required for performances

    • Attire For Performances will be emailed out when costumes are selected.

  • Any other dance stores or if you know what brand/size you want you can usually find attire online.

*Tip: Many stores have kids athletic sections now, these make great “fitted/athletic dance attire” outfits 

USED ATTIRE

K.I.M. Shoe & Clothing Swap Program (Any used shoes and dance attire can be labeled with your name and asking price and we will sell it for you! We will not be displaying items this year, but they are available upon request. Items sold are non-refundable and credit is received on your account for any items of yours that are sold.
